Proving that we have the creative capacity here in the OTA states to compete internationally, Blend Interactive has worked with some of the largest ad agencies in the world and has clients in three countries. A web design and development firm located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota,
Blend Interactive strives to create the perfect “blend” between the creative and the technology used to make their work truly shine. Blend Interactive is a perfect example of a Midwestern company that is working to shatter the perception that creativity and thought leadership live solely on the east and west coasts.

Blend Interactive likes to think of themselves as problem solvers that can come up with ideas and solutions to help you engage your audience. Each member of their team brings a specialized set of skills, and together they are passionately committed to Web development, content management, and interactive design.

In a true representation of the OTA spirit, two-thirds of the projects at Blend come from clients located outside of the Upper Midwest. The agency’s 13 employees share a broad vision for their creative capacity and they have realized that their talent and innovation does not have to remain within the borders of the Midwest region.

Blend has been around for exactly 5 years, but the employees themselves have worked in web design and development since the mid-1990’s. Even though most of their clients are not regional, Blend understands the value of supporting the local community. Blend Interactive also fits the bill for the Work. Play. Do Good. mindset that the OTA Sessions hopes to inspire in all of our attendees. As mentioned above, you can see how much effort they put into the “Do Good” slice of life, supporting the community in more than a few ways. Their “Work” slice speaks for itself, having created online solutions for companies like Microsoft, Kodak, Intel, Nintendo, BMW, and Dell (just to name a few), and they cover the “Play” aspect
of the mantra by providing a fun, laid back, and VERY creative environment for Blend team members.

Bottom line: it’s no wonder the great crew at Blend was so excited to sponsor and attend the first ever OTA Sessions. From their stellar efforts to take great work beyond this region and highlight innovation in the Midwest on a national scale to their strong support of the local community, Blend Interactive is an agency that embraced the mission of the OTA Sessions before the OTA Sessions ever existed.
